I'm having way too much fun drawing this character.
It's Steinar again, the noble, dragonslaying knight who got himself transformed into the very thing he hates.
I took the opportunity to practice drawing his dragon form since I'm still not used to non-human anatomy. He's slowly getting easier to draw the more I make of his dragon form, but he's still not in my usual comfort zone. >.>
When I'm designing characters, I tend to just sketch out whatever comes to mind on a blank canvas. Sometimes I have spontaneous ideas, like the ones shown here of him painfully (and gruesomely) transforming. I know for sure he goes through such torment when his sword (the only thing keeping him in his human form) is suddenly taken far away from him, but I'm not sure yet if I want to make every transformation painful for him. Whatever the case may be, he finds the experience to be highly unpleasant since he absolutely detests his dragon body.
Steinar never goes into a "mindless beast" mode like, say, a werewolf would under a full moon, after he transforms. Dragons in this lore are highly evolved creatures with superior intelligence, so they do not often have fits of madness (unless something is psychologically not right with them).
A lot of the upper part of the canvas was blank, so I had a little fun filling it in with stupid doodles.
