Here's a character I haven't seriously drawn since 2011. I kid you not--it's been that long!
Anyway, this is Symph Lafayette Catra ( Age: 229 | Born: 1757 M.E ) a very important character in the lore of my original universe. Once the Bat King of Lyra, the most prosperous and culturally advanced civilization in all of Spirala during the 1400s - late 1700s, he has since been reduced to the vampiric Sovereign of an independent state within the country of Microscopium (known as Civitas Lyrae) after he and his people were driven out of their homelands by the Phoenix King of Apus, . Despite his rather grim state of affairs and vampiric disease, he is a cool-headed man with a lot of charisma. It's quite easy to make him laugh, and it's rare to see him without a smile upon his lips. However, many of his subjects agree that he is a man of great mystery. At times, his closest servants and friends have witnessed his refined behavior degenerate into fits of utter madness. To his enemies he is a serious, contemplating and (at times) unforgivably cruel man. Which one is the true Symph Catra? Is it the man who's always smiling? The madman buried in his own guilt and depression? Or the truly heartless former king who wants nothing more than to reclaim what is his? Perhaps one day someone will find the answer and unravel the mysteries behind this enigmatic gentleman.
